The property is
currently undergoing complete refurbishment. This part is the
original 1844 Brunel built Coastguards Watch House with 18" thick
outer walls!

At the flagpole end of the
building will be added an extension to make a dining room and the
third bedroom

Once completed there will be 3
double bedrooms - 2 with en suites and the other will be opposite
the bathroom which has a double shower and a bath.
The main living room is the
main Coastguards working room and has a large fireplace and high
ceilings with the stone that the building was built from visible on
part of the walls.

A separate kitchen off the
Living room will feature high quality oak units with granite work
tops and all the appliances you would expect including washing
machine and dishwasher.
Apart from two of the bedrooms
and the main bathroom, which are at the back of the house, all rooms
have excellent sea views. From the dining room patio doors lead onto
a good sized paved area with plenty of room to enjoy the sea views
and which still has the flagpole that was used in its previous life.

Work is currently about two thirds
completed and I will update this page as progress is made. The
current aim is to have the property ready for use by the end of
2010. Progress will speed up once the warmer weather returns as
currently there is no heating in the building. The other part of the property has now
been sold. It is available through an internet
based holiday company. Click on the link below for information and
booking details.

and you like railways in your living room! this could be the place
for you.
Please Note
Access to the property is by a
path and steep steps so it may not be suitable for everybody.
Parking is available on the road fairly close to the property -
everything has to be carried from the road down the path to the
house.
