SAR brass NAMEPLATE “KRUGERSDORP”.

SAR brass NAMEPLATE “KRUGERSDORP” as fitted to SAR steam locomotive 15F number “3016” which was built at the North British Works in 1944 as 25575, being fitted with a short tender. The name “KRUGERSDORP” was applied when it was the prestige loco at Krugersdorp Shed. The loco is now named “Gerda” and has been restored but is awaiting firebox repairs. A very attractive and striking plate that has been face repainted only at some point – 48” x 15” overall. The plate is accompanied by an excellent colour photo of the loco with frame size - 27” x 21”.
