GWR LOCOMOTIVE NAMEPLATE “EATON HALL”
from a “4900” Hall Class 4-6-0 “4921”. Initially
allocated to Old Oak Common in April 1929 it then
spent many years at Oxford and then finally at
Reading. Withdrawn in September 1961 and stored at
Reading the loco was finally cut up at Kings,
Norwich in February 1962. Eaton Hall was located
near Congleton but was demolished in
1981. The early fully
beaded plate has been attractively restored and
would enhance any collection. The nameplate
comes with a framed photo of the loco.
