BR(M) Fully Flanged “TOTEM” “WIGSTON GLEN PARVA” from the
Lincolnshire station that closed in 1968, being one of three
stations in the town that all had totems and all closed in the
1960’s. Good colour and shine with a couple of small well
matched face chip repairs and some light scuffing in the top and
bottom panels. |

GWR Brass CABSIDE NUMBERPLATE “4996” from a GWR 4900 Hall Class
4-6-0 named “Eden Hall”. Allocated new to Old Oak Common in
March 1931, its final sheds were Oxley, Gloucester, Cardiff
Canton, Southall, Worcester, Exeter, Taunton and Cardiff Canton
again. Withdrawn in September 1963 and cut up the following
summer at Coopers Sharpness. The restored front has the boiler
details stamped on the rim and a slight scuff on the number “6”
– the back is in ex loco condition. |

from the terminus station on the branch from Purley famous for
the Royal train that used to bring the Queen to watch the Derby

Lamborn station, the terminus of the GWR branch that was closed
in 1960. The barrier consists of two ornately designed supports
that include a wealth of intricate detail. They stand 37’’ high

37’’. This unique and heavy item is to be collected from the
Shropshire area by the successful bidder. BTC |

Alloy NAMEPLATE “WOMAN’S GUILD” with its original alloy diamond
BADGE “CHURCH OF SCOTLAND WOMAN’S GUILD” from Class 47 “47803”
built by Brush with works number 618. The nameplate was
originally fitted on 47563, a Crewe built loco, in April 1987
and was named by the Princess Royal at Edinburgh Waverley. The
nameplates were removed in June 1992 and the loco was last
reported at R.Hulls scrap yard at Rotherham. Both plates are in
ex loco condition, the nameplate being 59’’ x 10’’ and the badge
14’’ x 8’’ with a repaired crack at the right hand end. BTC

Class 4-6-0. “Pembroke Castle” that was allocated new to Old Oak
Common in February 1924. By 1948 it was at Landore where it
spent some years with final short stays at Chester, Reading,
Bristol Bath Road, Wolverhampton, Banbury, Old Oak Common and
Llanelly. Withdrawn in July 1962 it was cut up at Hayes Bridgend
in December. The front has been polished otherwise presented in
ex loco condition. A very attractive early plate. |

South Devon main line station that is the junction for the lines
to Plymouth and Paignton. This was a major station with both
Loco Works and Shed until the 1960’s, with the large wood
panelled box situated at the London end of the station until its
removal in the 1980’s. This original GWR boxboard is presented
in unrestored condition with three of the original bolts still

GWR NAMEPLATE “WIMPOLE HALL” and CABSIDE “5963” from a “Hall”
Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon Works in July 1936. Allocated new
to Landore, by 1948 it had moved further West to Carmarthen.
Later sheds were Westbury and finally Bristol St. Philips Marsh.
Withdrawn in June 1964 it was cut up by Birds, Risca by the end
of the year. Both nameplate and cabside are in superb ex loco
condition – untouched since they came off the loco. A fine set.
Wimpole Hall is a famous National Trust property in
