377 Brass CAB PLATE “OIL PRESSURE” as used on Bulleid Pacifics – 3½” x 1½”. £35
378 GWR Cast iron CABSIDE “5225” from a Class 5200 2-8-0T built at Swindon in May 1924. The loco was finished in full passenger livery and was exhibit No 41 at the Stockton and Darlington Centenary exhibition at Faverdale Works. Its first allocation was Newport Ebbw Junction – later it was allocated to Llanelly, Bristol St Philips Marsh, Bristol Barrow Road and finally back to Llanelly. Withdrawn in July 1964 it was cut up at Swindon Works in September that year. Attractively restored and comes with three photos of the loco at work. £650
379 GWR original coloured drawing titled “ GWR CAMERON & LIMPLEY STOKE RAILWAY CONTRACT No 3” giving details to their contractor of works required at Radford Halte, Dunkerton and Freshford Motor Shed on the line to the North of the S&D Jt. at Radstock. Produced by the new works engineers office Paddington 1909. Attractively presented in a glazed frame ready for display – 45” x 28” overall.

380 BR(S) Fully Flanged TOTEM “TEMPLECOMBE” from the Somerset ex LSWR main line station that was the Junction with the S&D Jt. Excellent condition with good colour and shine and a couple of minor face scuffs only. £2500
381 A pair of FLAGS for France and the UK. They came from Eastleigh stores and were probably used on the Golden Arrow, as they are the appropriate size. Both are unused - the Union Jack being 23” x 11” and the Tricolor 25” x 11” (2)  £120

383 LNER framed mounted WAITING ROOM PRINT of TATTERSHALL CASTLE, LINCOLNSHIRE” by Fred Taylor from Finsbury Park station. Ex station condition – 24” x 30”. £20
384 SR leather bound WALLET with popper stud fastening. The front has gold script “With the Compliments of the SOUTHERN RAILWAY” and inside is a forty-page booklet “CONTINENTAL TRAVEL HINTS” and a colourful advert for P&O tours. 394 BR(W) Half Flanged TOTEM “FROME” from the Somerset  Junction station to the South East of Bristol. Excellent colour and shine with two of the top flange mounting holes cut to the back edge resulting in slight damage to the enamel which just goes into the brown. This has been restored with a well-matched repair. £910
395 Framed and glazed ASLEF membership certificate for Brother H Bicknell joining the Guildford branch in October 1913. Very ornate and in good condition – 15” x 19”. £40

399 Alloy diamond WORKSPLATE “North British Locomotive Co Ltd 1959 No 27855 The General Electric Company Ltd” - ex Class 21/29 “D6125”. Allocated new to Ipswich in September 1959 it soon moved to Scotland, however its life was very short as after collision damage in March 1964 it was not used again and was eventually condemned in December 1967. After storage at Glasgow it was cut up at Barnes and Bell in Coatbridge during the summer of 1968. Front only repainted. £310
400 Alloy NAMEPLATE “MEAUX” from a French electric Locomotive “BB15023”. The loco was built at Alsthom in 1975, named in May 1976 and allocated to the Strasbourg depot. The plates were removed in 2004. Meaux is a small town to the East of Paris The plate, which is in totally ex loco condition, is 19” x 24” overall and the makers name and lot number are cast in the back. This would make a very attractive addition to any collection particularly if you are a cat lover! BTC £1350

410 GWR copper & brass upright FIRE EXTINGUISHER clearly stamped “GWR 3312”. Complete with valve but empty. Decorative item standing 24” tall. £40
411 Industrial part chromed brass RADIATOR PLATE “STEPHENSON” from a Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn built locomotive featuring Rocket in the centre. The top right corner has been damaged probably in service – 5½” x 6” overall.

412 BR(NE) Half Flanged  TOTEM  “SLAITHWAITE” from the Yorkshire station, closed in 1968, to the South West of Huddersfield. The totem, which has black edged lettering, has good colour but some loss of shine and just the usual edge rusting. £1500
413 LSWR Brass faced Single line TABLET “BARNSTAPLE TOWN / POTTINGTON” from the first section of the Barnstaple to Ilfracombe line. A rare tablet in polished ex use condition. £1550

423 Furness Railway Cast iron STATION BENCH with the very desirable squirrel pattern in the bench ends. Complete with wood strips and metal brace - dismantled for ease of transport. The heavy cast iron ends are in unrestored condition – the wood has been replaced. A very attractive bench – 5 foot long. BTC £960

425 Brass CABSIDE “1651” from a Class 1600 0-6-0PT allocated new to Llanelly in December 1954. Apart from a short loan to Swansea Paxton Street it spent the whole of its short life there being withdrawn in October 1965 and was cut up early in the following year at Cashmores, Newport - excellent ex loco condition. £970

429 Booklet “Talyllyn Railway Official Guide”, probably a first edition produced in 1952 as the railway only reopened in 1951. Excellent condition – 16 pages. £8

431 LT Presentation Pewter TANKARD engraved “PICCADILLY CIRCUS NEW STATION 1928” by James Walker of Chiswick. £50
432 LSWR Level Crossing train on line Indicator, the face being marked “BARNSTABLE B” and “BARNSTABLE TOWN” with red flags that swing down under a round hole when a train is coming from either direction. This is from the Commercial Road Level Crossing Signalbox with its hand-operated gate that linked the quay with the Strand in Barnstaple. Wood cased with reset plunger on the side – 15” x 8”. (Comes with a photocopy picture of the signalbox). £360
433 A pair of brass and steel REVERSER PLATES obtained from a redundant South African Garratt locomotive. The steel plate is stamped “6884 SAR SAS 2292” and the brass plate shows the degrees of cut off  – 12” long. (2)

he following three lots are an attractive set of FRENCH RAILWAY POSTERS, with artwork by Salvador Dali, produced by the SNCF in 1970. One title is in English, one French and one German. All are - 15” x 24” on thick paper and in good rolled condition.

441 GWR Cast iron CABSIDE “2248” from a 2251 Class 0-6-0 tender engine that was allocated new to Gloucester in August 1945. Its BR sheds were only Carmarthen and Reading from where it was withdrawn in September 1964. It was cut up at Cashmores Great Bridge by the end of the year. Front attractively restored back ex loco. £1150
442 BR(E) Flanged enamel STATION DIRECTION SIGN “OAKLEIGH PARK STATION” with British Railways in totem and left facing feathered arrow. From the Hertfordshire station in the North London suburbs having good colour and shine with some well matched chip repairs and slight face scuffing – 28” x 13”. £520
443 Alloy PLAQUE as fitted to Class 50 “50031 Hood”. Originally named in June 1978 its commemorative plaque was added in April 1983. Made at Swindon Works, this is one of a number of additional plaques made at the same time to be sold/raffled by the association. £70
444 GWR Wheel Tappers Hammer used to test for cracks in wheels on carriages stopped at major stations. These ceased to be used when it was discovered that after over 100 years of tapping no one had ever found a cracked wheel! Complete with its full-length wooden handle. Both the handle and brass hammer head are clearly marked “GWR” – 36” x 6”. £110

448 SECR flat fronted four aspect fogmans HANDLAMP complete with brass plate “S.R.A .G 9701” and stamped “SECR” on the side. The lamp has copper wire round the handle and apart from the door handle being loose is in good condition. £130

450 BR(M) Fully Flanged 4 foot TOTEM “LIVERPOOL CENTRAL LOW LEVEL” from the  ex Mersey railway station which closed in 1975 and then reopened in 1977.The totem, which has a wide full flange, is in excellent condition with very good colour and shine. A very rare and desirable totem, being the only one with Liverpool in the title. £4550
