King George V Jigsaw Puzzle 300 pieces
A rare puzzle
to find complete as the pieces were cut very small and are
extremely easily lost. This one is exceptional being in
virtually mint condition and comes with its red box that is also
in very good condition. The puzzle was made from 1928 - 1932 and
was produced in much smaller numbers than the 150 piece version. |

King George V Jigsaw Puzzle 300 pieces
This one is complete and in
average/good condition and comes with its red box that is pretty
good with just a tear at one corner. The puzzle was made from
1928 - 1932. Not quite as good as

Lost in Transit Jigsaw Puzzle
The most difficult of the railway puzzles to obtain and the only
one with cardboard non interlocking pieces. It was only produced
one Christmas and given to workers to encourage them to take
more care with parcels. The box does not identify it as a GWR
puzzle & many must have been thrown away. This one is
complete and in excellent condition and comes complete with its original
excellent condition box. A must have if you want to complete
your collection! |

Caerphilly Castle Jigsaw Puzzle
The very first puzzle produced by Chad Valley for the GWR. This
is one of the original puzzles that would have been on sale at
the British Empire exhibition in Wembley in May 1924.The very
earliest puzzles had the back of the plywood in blue, some of
the pieces not interlocking & were cut around the outline of the
loco. The later versions were a much simpler cut & fully
interlocking. Although a large number were produced and sold
between 1924 - 1928 this a very rare version. The early blue
box, in good condition, is with the puzzle which is complete & in
good condition with just one piece broken on a thin cut. |

Windsor Castle Wavy Edged
Jigsaw Puzzle
The rarest of the three Windsor Castle puzzles in the series.
The colours are more impressionist than real and this makes it
an attractive picture. This copy is in good condition but has
had two pieces replaced.
The
replacements were made by the leading husband & wife team and
are absolutely fantastic - you would have to turn the puzzle
over to realise it has replacements!
Two nibs are off and one piece has broken on a thin cut as was
often the case. The box is slightly water stained at one side.
The puzzle was made from 1926
- 1929 and is one of the rarest of all the puzzles. |
